Henry Heath
(flourished 1824-1850)

Probably the brother of the well-known caricaturist William Heath. He was a versatile and imitative artist, working in the loose and coarse Heath manner between the years 1824-1830. He did imitation caricatures in the style of John Doyle ('HB') signed 'HH' for Messr. Fores, 1831 and etched vignettes in the style of Cruikshank and lithographs in the style of Seymour from 1834. He was employed to make political caricatures by Spooner, the publisher and his work was collected and published by Charles Tilt. Heath undertook one cartoon in Punch for 1843 and his sets include London Characters, and Domestic Miseries, Domestic Blisses. He is believed to have emigrated to Australia.
